SuperDuo Wrap Bracelet

You may not be able to fully finish the bracelet in class but will have the knowledge to finish at home. Kit Fee: $35, payable to the instructor at class time. The kit includes Super Duos, Size 11o seed beads, Fire Line, Needle, & a button with shank. Intro to Dorset Buttons
When: Sunday, April 27, 2025 Time: 10 AM - 12 PM Where: LaVista Community Center, 8116 Parkview Blvd, La Vista, NE 68128 Instructor: Rhonda Berman Class Fee: $30 Class Level: Beginner We will be learning the basic steps of creating a Dorset Button. Thread is wrapped then woven over a plastic ring using various stitches and weaving techniques. Different threads and colors will be available. They can be used as traditional buttons, however as with any art, the ideas are only limited by imagination. Buttons have been used in jewelry or accent pieces on other items. Examples will be shared in class well as a brief history and book options. This class is open to all skill levels, if you can thread a needle, you can do this art form. Boho Bead Crochet
When: Sunday, April 27, 2025 Time: 10 AM - 12 PM Where: LaVista Community Center, 8116 Parkview Blvd, La Vista, NE 68128 Instructors: Denise Anton Wright Class Fee: $40 Class Level: Beginner Have you always wanted to learn wire bead crochet? Now's the perfect chance! In this class, we'll be using silver-plated wire and a selection of gemstone chips to create a simple three-strand bead crochet necklace. And we'll finish it off with leather lace for a Boho-inspired adjustable necklace. Not grooving on the beads and leather shown in the photo? No worries - students will be able to choose from a wide selection of beads and leather for this project. Kit Fee: $0. Kit is provided as part of the class fee. Each kit will contain: a 4mm/5mm crochet hook, a spool of 28-gauge silver-plated wire, an assortment of gemstone chips, one yard of leather lace, and three large-hole beads. Students will be able to select the gemstone chips they'd like to use as well as the color of the leather lace. Supplies: All supplies needed are included in the kit or provided by the Instructor. Fairy Crystal Sun Spinner

Washers Glam Up

Natalie's even bringing her resin curer, so the possibilities are as big as your imagination! Join us for a fun and creative session where you'll transform ordinary washers into extraordinary pieces of jewelry. Whether you're a seasoned crafter or a complete beginner, you'll leave with unique, handmade accessories and a new set of skills. Let's get creative and make some washer magic together! Refillable Leather Journal Cover
When: Sunday, April 27, 2025 Time: 1215 PM - 215 PM Where: LaVista Community Center, 8116 Parkview Blvd, La Vista, NE 68128 Instructor: Angie Simonsen Class Fee: $65 Class Level: Beginner In this class, you will learn the basics needed to construct leather projects. We will be making an A6 journal that includes a 6 ring metal binder with screws and two packets of paper. Refills can be ordered online for the binder, or the binder can be removed and switched out to plain paper notebooks held with elastic (plain notebooks not included). You will be able to choose from black, brown, pink, purple, aqua and mustard pre-cut cover (by me) with your choice of strap color and other embellishments that I will show you how to add on. We will also use a hand press to set the snap that will keep your journal cover closed. I will be showing you how to mark your leather, use stitching punches to make sewing holes, saddle stitching, ending/adding thread and finishing techniques that you can use on MANY future leather projects. Kit Fee: None. The kit includes a leather cover and strap with snap, embellishments, 6 ring metal binder clip, 2 packs of A6 paper, all thread needed, two leather stitching needles. Supplies: All supplies are included in the class fee. Tools: Leather work requires MANY hand tools that can be shared in jewelry production, but there are also many that are unique to leather work. I will bring all needed tools for use in class. |
Timekeepers Necklace
When: Sunday, April 27, 2025 Time: 1230 PM - 2 PM Where: LaVista Community Center, 8116 Parkview Blvd, La Vista, NE 68128 Instructor: Kelli Sweet Class Fee: $35 Class Level: Beginner In this workshop, participants will repurpose a vintage watchmakers tin by incorporating a collage and ephemera, enhanced with the elegance of beaded rosary chain, to craft a stunning necklace. This project provides the opportunity for the creator to design both the exterior of the tin and a concealed compartment within. Kit Fee: $0 Supplies: All supplies are included in the class fee. Spun Wire Pendant

Wire is wrapped around a wooden skewer to create a wire bead. It will be removed and added to a head pin, then beaded accents are added for bling. Spun Wire will be available in many colors. How Spun Wire is created will also be demonstrated in class. Kit Fee: $0 Supplies: Wool covered wire, skewers, fibers, findings, and other embellishments.
